Springing Forward
The clocks have changed and reminded us how quickly time passes. As we spring forward, we take a peak back in time, courtesy of Time Warner Cable and NY1. If you're in New York today, it sure feels like spring is here with the 70 degree weather. We had two clients contact us today saying they are hungry to bring the outdoors in, so we shared a few quick tips and thought of our 2011 conversation with NY1's Bree Driscoll.
As you can see in that piece, spring can bloom in your home in just a few easy steps. We loved our visit to NY1 and our friends there were so receptive to the bright colors we featured. We're still featuring bright and cheery colors for spring 2012; we're just mixing some pops of 2012's palette. Here are some of the tips we shared today:
How do you spring forward in your home?

- Put some solar pop into your space with sunny yellows, tangerine oranges, pistachio greens and tulip reds.
- Bring out colorful canisters. Fill them with fresh blooms in a contrasting color.
- Pull the drapes back to let the natural light in. Your Hunter Douglas window treatments can give you light and privacy. We carry the Hunter Douglas treatments exclusively, and the Alustra Silhouette line can give you a view of spring while also ensuring privacy.
- Change out your linens to lighter fabrics in a brighter hue; you can even stay in the same palette but add in a lighter shade.
