Intern Corner-First Day Won't be the Last
I started my first official day at American & International Designs. You would think after my interview two months ago I wouldn't have any nerves left in me, but I still couldn't get over the anxiety of the first day. But once again I realized there was absolutely nothing to worry about. I started off with Cindy and Susan instructing me how to put together a Paint Schedule (never learned that in school...how interesting!) along with ordering new paint samples. I then met Susan and our new intern, Chetsi. We discussed our past design schooling and Susan let us in on some insightful design knowledge. After, we broke off into teams to worked on separate projects. Cindy and I revised a few bathroom elevations; that included coloring, measuring and re-sizing previous elements. At the end of the work day, I organized a Project Book for a client and had Susan look over it to correct any errors. I said my goodbyes and headed out the door being more excited to be a design student than I ever have been!
