Art & the Intern

No matter the size or scale of the project, we are always designing the walls.  We pride ourselves on giving art displays the time and attention they deserve and rarely get.  In the case of these golf clubhouses and hotel spaces, we were able to empower our interns to become major stakeholders in the research, design and installation of these exquisite art features.

Richmond County Country Club

"Attic gold" is definitely a phrase we would use for the Richmond County Country Club.  Our intern took the stairs all the way up to the attic storage to find these gems once forgotten.  She worked with an expert framer to get the presentation just right and then created a comprehensive catalog of all artwork used throughout this historic site that was presented to the Club.

Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse

The intern working on the Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse did extensive research into this New York City treasure.  These detailed insights helped the team better understand the property's history so that the designed honored its tradition with nods to its future.  She worked hard to pull images that highlighted the clubhouse's more famous clients and historic moments.

The Art Nook

This Art Nook was created to display the client's massive collection of artwork.  Our intern worked with the client to position the various pieces.

The Garden Wall

Our intern worked with me and the photographer on this project.  My efforts were needed for the overall vision of the Garden Wall.  Once decided the intern worked on size, prototype and sampling with the artist.
